Kazakh grain producers ready to enter markets of Islamic states: U.Shukeyev
ASTANA. November 10. KAZINFORM Economic Summit of Heads of state and Governments of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) member states devoted to the 25 anniversary of establishment of its Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) was held in Istanbul, the press service of the Kazakh Prime Minister reports.
The main task of the COMCEC is to develop trade-economic relations between 57 member states of the Organization, including Kazakhstan.
Kazakh delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev took part in the conference.
U.Shukeyev in his speech complimented the role of the Organization in strengthening of the trade relations between Muslim countries. He laid special emphasis on the further increase of the trade turnover inside the OIC in case of effective use of the joint transit potential and proposed to discuss this issue at the standing sittings of the COMCEC in more details.
The First Vice Premier informed the Heads of States, Governments and international organizations on the increased opportunities of Kazakhstan on export of grain and readiness of the Kazakh grain producers to enter the markets of the Islamic countries.
In this regard the participants of the summit appreciated the proposal of Kazakhstan to play key role in provision of the food security at the regional and international levels.
U.Shukeyev attracted attention of the participants on the fact that despite the world crisis favorable investment climate was preserved in Kazakhstan allowing our country to remain one of the most attractive countries for the investments.
