PAVLODAR OBLAST. December 9. KAZINFORM /Vera Livintsova/ The modernized power unit No5 has been launched at the Ekibastuz GRES-1 Power Station; the press service of the station reports. The Kazakhmys Group invested KZT 3.9 bln to the repair started in April. Launching the fifth unit allowed to increase the station's capacity to 2.450 mW. The enterprise invests significant funds to the station reconstruction for ensuring energy needs of the country. the next stage of modernization is rehabilitation of three nonfunctional units.
