Parliament approved amendments to legislative acts on fishery
ASTANA. 24.12.2009. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Senate of the Kazakh Parliament considered proposals of the mitigation committee on negotiation of controversies between chambers on draft Law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on fishery".
The draft Law introduces a state monopoly for procurement of sturgeon fish species withdrawn out of native habitat, as well as processing and sale of sturgeon roe. This regulation will come into force since January, 1, 2013.
The amendments introduced by the Senate provide disposal of offices on establishment of a procedure for allocation of quotas aimed at withdrawal of wildlife objects to the Government. The amendments also aimed at the establishment of exceptional state monopoly for the whole process of fishing of sturgeon fish species, processing and sale of sturgeon roe and other products of processing.
After discussion the Senate adopted proposals of the mitigation committee on several amendments and the Law was approved.
