ASTANA. 14.01.2010. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ Kazakh-Hungarian negotiations on the issue of Kazakhstan's participation in Nabucco gas pipeline project will be held in Astana.
The issues of diversification of the energy feedstock supplies are of special importance for the countries consuming the feedstock, including European states. The Nabucco gas pipeline project is one of the possible routes for natural gas supply to Europe.
Ambassador-at-Large for the Nabucco Gas Pipeline Project for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Mihaly Bayer arrived in Astana to negotiate the approaches of Kazakhstan toward the project.
The Representative of the Foreign Ministry of Hungary intends to hold meetings with the leadership of the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, "KazMunaiGaz" Company and representatives of the Presidential Administration.
As M.Bayer informed, Hungary welcomes the approach of Kazakhstan toward participation in the project, since Budapest as well as the other EU member states has plans on diversification of the energy feedstock supplies by means of implementation of plans on the South Energy Corridor.
