Kazakhstan plans to produce 98 mln tons of coal in 2010 - Ministry of Energy
ASTANA. 15.01.2010. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The expected volume of coal extraction in 2010 will make up about 98 mln tons.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev has said it at the enlarged session of the department on Friday, January 15.
"According to current data, the coal extraction volume made up 94.3 mln tons in 2009", the Minister noted.
"Main causes of decline in coal production is reduction of coal consumption in electric stations in Kazakhstan and Russia because of the economic crisis", S.Mynbayev said.
