GDP growth in 2010 forecasted at 1.5-2%: Vice Premier Y.Orynbayev
ASTANA. 22.01.2010. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "The GDP growth in 2010 is forecasted at 1.5-2%", Kazakh Vice Premier Yerbol Orynbayev has said today at the hearing of the Government's report on the results of the socio-economic development of the country in 2009 and plans for 2010.
"Taking into account all factors that we have already analyzed, the GDP growth forecast in 2010 is 1.5-2%. Due to the plans on forced industrialization and those projects that are implemented now, the growth will probably be higher", he said.
Y.Orynbayev noted that in accordance with the forecasts, the industry will increase up to 3%, ore mining sector - 4%, processing industry - 1.4%.
"We plan a slowdown in the agriculture. This is connected with the cyclical nature of the harvest. The construction and trade spheres will be moderately restored", the Vice Premier said.
