Gold and currency reserves increased by 16.8% last year: B.Sultanov
ASTANA. 26.01.2010. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Gold and foreign currency reserves of Kazakhstan rose by 16.8% during the last year. Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov said Monday at the session of the Government.
"Gold and currency reserves increased by 16.8% last year and amounted to USD 23.2 bln", B.Sultanov said, noting that the aggregate amount of assets of the National Fund and gold and currency reserves of the country were up to USD 47.6 bln at the end of 2009.
