ALMATY. 28.01.2010. KAZINFORM /Yekaterina Ionova/ "We see an opportunity for starting new investment projects within the establishment of a grain pool of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. It's already possible to state that the Eurasian Development Bank implemented a range of projects on extension of export abilities of the country", Member of the Executive Board, Head of the Research Department of the Eurasian Development Bank Vladimir Yasinskiy said yesterday at the press conference in Almaty. "The rate of projects of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan in our investment portfolio grows steadily. The total sum has already increased USD 150 mln that is about 12% of our portfolio", V.Yasinskiy said. According to him, the establishment of the grain pool for the Bank is interesting in the context of assistance and financing of additional researches, aspects of the poll establishment. The establishment of the grain pool is an opportunity for cross charge as well. "It is easier to agree on interchange in grain flows in order not to transport big grain volumes to great distances that will simplify its logistics and transportation", V.Yasinskiy said.
