KAZINFORM "In accordance with preliminary estimates, the real GDP growth was up to 1.1% in 2009", Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov said Tuesday at the session of the Government. "We managed to achieve positive growth, stabilized the situation in the banking sector, prevent the unemployment rate growth, maintain the real income and social payments growth and solve the problems of interest holders in housing construction. In accordance with estimates, the anti-crisis measures provided additional economy growth by 3%", the Minister noted. Upon the results of 2009, positive results were achieved in the industry - the production volume in the sector increased by 1.7%. The situation in the manufacturing industry turned out to be better than was expected. Decline of production was up to 4.5% against forecasted 8.3%. Positive results were achieved in the agriculture as well. The growth amounted to 13.% due to increase of production by 23.1% in the field of horticulture. Increase of investments to the capital by 2.1% promoted the economy recovery. The foreign investments and private resources of enterprises were the main sources of financing.
