KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Memorandum of understanding on the program of CIS new shunting locomotive between KazakhstanTemirZholy JSC and General Electric Transportation was signed within a working visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Unites States of America. The document was signed by KazakhstanTemirZholy Head Askar Mamin and GE Transportation President Lorenzo Simonelli. "We have signed the memorandum on assembling a new type of locomotive - shunting one. Last year the Head of the State gave a start to assembling main-line locomotive. And now we together with GE Transportation familiarize with a new type of locomotive - shunting one. It is very much in demand in the market of Kazakhstan and the CIS", A. Mamin said after the signing ceremony. During the ceremony it was also announced of the launch of initial pilot training program for Kazakhstan. The Pilot Training College of Florida already enrolled 22 students from Kazakhstan. 24 more students will join them till the end of the year.
