ALMATY. 03.06.2010. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ Talking about forecast of Kazakhstan's ore mining and smelting complex development, its volume should make up USD 32 bln by 2014. Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Berik Kamaliyev has said it at the Investment Summit in Almaty. "In the nearest five years investments in the ore mining and smelting complex will make up over USD 16 bln, 85 percent of which are private investments, including investments of large companies such as ENRC, Kazakhmys and our companies which are involved in the ore mining and smelting complex", B.Kamaliyev said. He reminded about the task set by the Kazakh President - it is necessary to double production of the ore mining and smelting complex by 2014. "I consider that the field is competitive. There are needed diversification, new investments inflow, new technologies", the Vice Minister noted.
