Successful implementation of investment projects directly depends on labor resources - Minister G. Abdykalikova
ALMATY. 04.06.2010. KAZINFORM /Yekaterina Ionova/ Kazakhstan faces great demand in manpower in such spheres as provision of transport and energy infrastructure, oil and gas sector, ore-mining complex, tourism and engineering. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova said it at the XXIII plenary session of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors Council in Almaty today.
According to her, implementation of investment projects depending on labor forces, its quantity and quality will remain a priority until 2015. "The analysis of 237 projects included in the country's Industrialization Map shows we will need 148, 700 people for the period of construction while in the period of the projects exploitation we will need 87, 000 people", the Minister said.
As the companies say, they are ready to train only half of the people to be involved in implementation of the projects. The rest of 108, 000 people will need state support in this direction.
"Within 2009, 2010 Road Maps we pay mush attention to technical education of the personnel. Their total number is expected to make 33 thousand. Since 2011 we will set to staff training within the 2020 Business Road Map and all companies implementing the projects under the state industrialization program can use this opportunity", the Minister noted.
"Diversification of economy will be accompanied by changing the demand in labor forces. Thus, the demand in highly qualified personnel working in technical spheres will rise", she stressed.
"I suppose the state bodies of the country will have to solve some issues soon, namely: legislative provision of the minimum annual expenses of employers spent for training an retraining the staff and improvement of the order of attraction of foreign labor forces", G. Abdykalikova concluded.
