First-ever motor oil plant launched in Kazakhstan
SHYMKENT. 07.06.2010. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ First-ever Kazakhstan's motor oil producing company has been launched in Shymkent.
The new enterprise - Hill Corporation - was built within the framework of the Industrial Innovative Development Program of Kazakhstan. The plant's capacity is 70,000 tons of motor oils per year. "The country's demand for lubricants is 400,000 tons a year. The plant will cover 25-30% of the total demand. The import substitution will exceed USD 500 mln", Executive Manager of the Corporation B. Saidullayev said.
According to him, the prices will be by 15% lower than for the imported motor oils. The enterprise is ready to produce all types of motor oils. The companies KazMunaiGaz and InterGaz became the first customers.
