April inflation rate made 0.5 %
Almaty. May 2. Kazakhstan Today - Inflation rate in Kazakhstan for April 2007 made 0.5 %, from the beginning of the year - 3.1 %, the National Bank of Kazakhstan informed the agency.
According to the state statistics agency, in the market of articles of food the price for fish, fruit and vegetables grew by 1.8 %. Meat and meat products increased by 1.4 %. The prices for bakeries and groats increased by 0.7 %, dairy products and eggs - by 0.1 %. Prices for sugar in April decreased by 4.4 %.
Prices for clothes and footwear for the last month grew by 0.8 %, goods of personal hygiene - by 0.6 %, printed materials - by 0.5 %, medicine - by 0.2%, audio-visual equipment - by 0.3 and construction materials - by 0.6 %. The prices for diesel fuel decreased by 0.1 %, coal and gasoline - by 1.8% and 0.6 % respectively.
Price index for housing-and-municipal services, according to statistical data, made 100%. Garbage collection grew by 1,5 %, gas has risen by 0.5 %, electricity decreased by 1.6 %. Public transportation fare grew by 0.4%. The prices for services of public health care grew by 1.5 %, education - by 0.2 %, culture - 0.6 %.
According to the National Bank, in April 2007 consumer price index in relation to the corresponding month in 2006 has made 7.7 %. As it was informed by the state statistics agency, in January - April 2007 in comparison with the similar period of last year inflation has made 8 %.
