CPC capacity to be expanded up to 40 tons per year
ASTANA. May 10. KAZINFORM /Dina Yermaganbetova/ “Capacity of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) will be increased up to 40 million tons per year”, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said after bilateral negotiations with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Astana on Thursday, Kazinform reports.“The CPC capacity will be enhanced from 23 up to 40 million tons per year. The remaining 17 million tons may be piped through Burgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline. We have already discussed it and have given the necessary instructions”, Mr. Nazarbayev said.
The Kazakh leader added that Kazakhstan attached great importance to the hydrocarbon resources transportation through the territory of the Russian Federation.
