Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey to form an information hub
BAKU. May 18. KAZINFORM. Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Turkey will set up a consortium for information transit between the west and east.
Azerbaijan’s Communications and Information Technologies Minister, Ali Abbasov, said these four countries lies from China to Europe as a line and have great potential to transport information through this “line”.
He also added that the World Bank will lend a $30 million loan to Azerbaijan for establishment of e-government.
Azerbaijan is located on the Ancient Silk Way and at the crossroads between Europe, Middle East and Asia, and is gaining importance as a transit core, Kazinform refers to APA-Economics.
