ASTANA. May 18. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ - The amendments to the Kazakh Constitution have been accepted today in the second reading at a joint sitting of the Kazakh Parliament Houses. Yermek Zhumabayev, the chairman of the joint commission for the preparation of the bill for the second reading, noted that the alterations foresee promotion of the Parliament's authority, expansion of the deputies’ number, strengthening of the political parties’ role, development of the municipal government, etc. “The deputies suggested a number of amendments during the preparation of the bill for the second reading”, Yermek Zhumabayev said.
