Pavlodar. My 24. Kazakhstan Today - Germany is interested in strengthening economic cooperation with the regions of Kazakhstan. The permanent representative of the Federal Republic of Germany Ambassador, the Chairman of the Departments of Economy, Education and Culture of the German Embassy in Kazakhstan baron-marshal Ioahim Bibershtein said on Tuesday during his working trip to the Pavlodar oblast. According to the representative of the German Ambassador, for today commodity turnover between Germany and Kazakhstan totals more than 4 billion euro. According to the German party, in Kazakhstan volumes of import of technologies, machines and German equipment takes the second place after Russia. Baron-marshal Ioahim Bibershtein emphasized that German business-elite considers the Pavlodar oblast as one of the most industrially developed regions of Kazakhstan and, hence, attractive to investments and development of the international communications. The akim (mayor) of the oblast and the representative of the Ambassador of Germany agreed within the limits of deepening of cooperation in humanitarian sphere to consider the issue of opening in Pavlodar a Kazakh-German classical grammar school. According to the press service of the oblast akim, it has been the second visit of businessmen from Germany to the Pavlodar region. The first meeting took place in 2006. Following the results of the last year visit, commodity turnover between the Pavlodar oblast and Germany made more than $60 million.
