Almaty. June 28. Kazakhstan Today - Since July 1, 2007 the National Bank of Kazakhstan has kept the rate of refinancing at the same level, the agency reports referring to the bank press service. According to the Law of Kazakhstan on the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the board of the National Bank decided to establish since July 1, 2007 the official rate of refinancing of the National Bank at the level of 9.0 % annual. "Acceptance by the National Bank of toughening measures of monetary and credit policy directing at withdrawal of excess liquidity of the bank sector and increase of the rates on operations of the National Bank caused delay of the rates of inflation growth in 2007. If in January 2007 the level of annual inflation made 8.5 %, May inflation reached 7.6 %," the press service explained.
