Cumulative net profit of commercial banks in January - April grew by 154 %

Kazakhstan Today - The cumulative net profit of commercial banks of Kazakhstan in January - April, 2007 made 70.1 billion KZT that is higher than a parameter for the last year by 154 %. Kazakhstan Agency for regulation and supervision of financial market and financial organizations press service informed Kazakhstan Today.
According to the press service, cumulative shares of the banks increased in April by 20.3 billion KZT (0.2 %) and as of May 1, 2007 made 9593.1 billion KZT. For May 1, 2007 cumulative stock of banking sector made 1340.1 billion KZT, having increased in April, 2007 by 69.1 billion KZT, or by 5.4 %.
The loan portfolio of the banks (in view of interbank loans) increased in April by 434.4 billion KZT (6.6 %), up to 7008.2 billion KZT.
In the composition of credit portfolio of banks as of May 1, 2007 the share of standard credits made 46.7 %, dubious - 51.9 %, despairing - 1.4 %. As of April 1, 2007 the share of standard credits made 52.9 %, dubious - 45.5 %, despairing - 1.6 %.
Total sum of investments attracted by banks from legal and physical persons (except for the banks and international financial organizations), made 5551.8 billion KZT, having increased in comparison with the last month by 0.9 %, the sum of investments of legal persons reached 4344.5 billion KZT, the sum of investments of physical persons - 1 207.3 billion KZT, having increased by 2 %. Investments of the affiliated organizations of special purpose totaled 2117.7 billion KZT, having increased within a month by 0.2 %.
