Kazakh Senate passed law on education
ASTANA. July 10. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ At today’s plenary session the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan has passed the law On education.
According to Education and Science Minister Zhanseit Tuimebayev, the draft law is purposed to form competitive education system, integration of the Kazakh education into the world educational space, further improvement of the legislative regulation of the public relations in the sphere of education.
The bill introduces new conceptual approaches to the development of education: a transfer to the 12-year-old secondary education, restructuring of vocational education, initiating of three-stage model of manpower training of higher and post-graduate education “bachelor’s degree, master’s degree programme and doctorate, Ph.D”, development of the national education evaluation system, upgrading the status of pedagogic workers.
