According to the Chairman of Fishing Industry Committee, it is necessary to introduce amendments to a number of acts to introduce state monopoly. "It will be a number of laws on amendments and additions, in particular, to the laws on State Monopoly, on Fauna, etc., K. Suleymenov said, having added, that all these amendments are already developed.
As it was informed earlier, in April of 2007the Ministry of Agriculture proposed to introduce state monopoly for sale and manufacture of caviar of sturgeon. "The important factor in struggle against violations of the law is introduction of the state monopoly for manufacture and export of caviar of sturgeon and its wholesale trade in a home market," the Minister of Agriculture Akhmetzhan Esimov said at the government session.
According to RIA Novosti, since August 1, the law providing obligatory destruction of confiscated caviar came into force in Russia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has confiscated from shops of the Moscow region almost 2 tons of black caviar for a total sum of 1.5 million euro within three weeks in August.
