Construction of first turn of gas pipeline Kazakhstan- China to finish in 2009 - KazMunayGas
Astana. September 7. Kazakhstan Today - Construction of the first turn of gas pipeline Kazakhstan - China has been planned to finish in 2009, the KazMunayGas Executive Director Armand Darbayev informed.
According to A. Darbayev, the civil-engineering design of the gas pipeline is at the stage of "active development." In particular, "investments plan of the first site, scheduled to be finished in October 2007, is being developed.
According to the intergovernmental agreement - Kazakhstan - China pipeline will run from the border of Uzbekistan through Shymkent in Horgos. Its capacity will make about 40 bln cubic meters of gas a year. It has been scheduled to construct the second site - Beineu-Bozoi-Shalkar-Samsonovka. The capacity of the second site will make 10 billion cubic meter a year," the KazMunayGas representative specified.
