Deposits in national currency gone down by 0.8 %
Almaty. September 10. Kazakhstan Today - In July, 2007 deposits in national currency decreased by 0.8 % - up to 2784.7 billion KZT, deposits in foreign currency increased by 14.6 % - up to 1017.5 billion KZT, the agency reports referring to the National Bank of Kazakhstan press service.
As a result, relative weight of deposits in KZT has gone down from 76.0 % to 73.2 %.
According to the press service, total amount of deposits of the residents in bank system for July 2007 in comparison with June 2007 has increased by 2.9 % (in comparison with December, 2006 - by 23.6 %) - up to 3802.2 bln KZT. Deposits of legal entities have risen by 0.4 % - up to 2350.3 bln of KZT, deposits of physical entities have increased by 7.2 % - up to 1451.9 bln KZT.
Contributions of the population in the banks for a month have increased by 7.2 % - up to 1467.2 bln KZT. For July 2007, contributions of the population in KZT deposits have grown by 7.1 % - up to 1098.2 bln KZT, and deposits in foreign currency have risen by 7.2 % - up to 369.1 bln KZT. As a result, relative weight of KZT deposits has gone down from 74.9 % to 74.8 %.
Dynamics of the rates for the deposits of the banks was characterized by the following changes: in July, 2007 the average rate of compensation on KZT urgent deposits of non bank legal entities has made 4.0 % (in June, 2007 - 4.5 %), and under deposits of physical entities - 10.5 % (10.5 %).
