Nursultan Nazarbayev and Emomali Rahmon signed the joint statement. The governments of two countries concluded cooperation agreements in the field of air communication and cooperation in the field of culture and art. The Ministry of Education of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Kazakhstan concluded the cooperation agreement in the field of technical and vocational training. The memorandum of mutual understanding and cooperation in the field of investments and commerce between the State committee on management of state property of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan has been signed. The Ministries of Agriculture of two countries signed the cooperation agreement in the field of agriculture. The President of Kazakhstan also informed "in 2008 the Days of culture of Kazakhstan in Tajikistan will be held. According to N. Nazarbayev, in 2008/2009 educational year in the Kazakhstan high schools 100 students from Tajikistan at the expenses of the state budget of Kazakhstan will be accepted."
