Kazakhstan, Afghanistan expressed readiness for joint development of oil-and-gas resources
Astana. September 19. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Afghanistan have expressed readiness for joint development of oil-and-gas resources of the Islamic republic Afghanistan. The Protocol signed on Tuesday during the first session of the Kazakhstan-Afghanistan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation states.
"The parties have expressed readiness for joint exploration and development of oil-and-gas resources of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan," the document states.
The protocol specifies, "the Kazakhstan party has expressed readiness to carry out exploration and research work of minerals, oil fields and gas, coal, metal with the purpose of their exploitation and confirms that it will carry out investments into these spheres."
