Chevron to complete project of expansion of Tengiz capacities
Astana. September 21. Kazakhstan Today - Corporation Chevron is planning on completing the project of expansion of Tengiz deposit capacities within 2008. The Chairman of the board, Executive Director of Chevron Corporation David J. O'Reilly informed today at the briefing after the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"Within the nearest several months the first stage of expansion of Tengiz deposit capacities will come to the end. Within 2008 Tengiz project will be completely finished," David J. O'Reilly informed.
The chairman of the board of the corporation also noted "the President of Kazakhstan expressed deep satisfaction with the activity of the company at Tengiz deposit. "Today during our meeting both the President of Kazakhstan and the Prime Minister stated their support for the activity of our company and, in particular, at Tengiz deposit," he said, having emphasized that the leader of Kazakhstan named Tengiz project an excellent example of how the government and the foreign investor can work successfully," David J. O'Reilly emphasized.
