Almaty. September 28. Kazakhstan Today - The National Bank of Kazakhstan since October 1 has been keeping the rate of refinancing at the level of 9 %, the press service of the bank informed. "According to the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on National Bank of Kazakhstan the board of the National Bank of the Republic decided to establish, since October 1, 2007, the official rate of refinancing at the level of 9.0 % annual, having kept it at the former level," the message widespread by the press service on Thursday states. "Keeping the official rate of refinancing, despite of increase of the level of annual inflation, is directed at smoothing of problems with short-term liquidity of the banks and decreasing of inflationary expectations," the text noted.
