Kazakhstan PM met EBRD representatives Astana.
October 8. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov held the meeting with the group of the chairmen of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) headed by the first vice President of the bank Varel Freeman on Thursday, Kazakhstan Prime Minister press service informed the agency.
During the meeting the project of the program of energy economy, created in Kazakhstan with the support of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, the process of introduction of the mechanism of state-private partnership in Kazakhstan, and the questions of cooperation of EBRD with holding Kazyna and Samruk were discussed.
According to the press service, V. Freeman informed the Prime Minister on joint work of EBRD with the Kazakhstan state bodies, business-community and nongovernmental organizations. He expressed interest of the EBRD in joint work with the Ministry of Economics and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan in analysis of concession contracts.
EBRD was created in 1991. Nowadays the investment tools of the EBRD are used to develop market economy and democracy in 29 countries - in Central Europe and Central Asia.
