The President of the Company KazMunayGas Uzakbay Karabalin informed on Thursday, addressing the deputies of the Parliament at the session of the committee for economic reforms and regional development of the Majilis. "In 1998the state budget received 11 million dollars from the Karachaganak project and in 2006 - more than 1 billion dollars," he noted. "The saved volume during the period of the project - by the results of 2007 - is expected at the level of more than 4 billion dollars," U. Karabalin said. The chairman of KazMunayGas reminded that oil production in Karachaganak since 2005 has exceeded the level of 10 million tons per year, gas - 11 billion cubic meters.
