"We support Trans Caspian pipeline project as it is of great importance for prosperity of the countries of the region. It will become an additional source of income in the country that will promote its prosperity," D. Fried said. He informed that in Baku he discussed the issues of maintenance of power security and the role of Azerbaijan as a transit country, regional problems and the Karabakh conflict. "Friends of Azerbaijan wish to see the accelerated process of democratic development. We wish Azerbaijan would make it for its own interests. The country with the developed democratic institutes is more stable and safe. We wish Azerbaijan would become democratic because then it will become a more initiative partner," the diplomat said.
