November gold and exchange currency reserves of Kazakhstan increased by 2.8 %
Almaty. November 19. Kazakhstan Today - The International reserves of the country as a whole (in current prices), including money of the National fund (by preliminary data $20 333.8 million), have increased by 2.8 % and have made $38 521.7 million, the agency reports referring to the message of the National Bank of the Republic.
Growth of net international reserves of the National Bank in the first half of November, 2007 caused expansion of monetary base by 1.6 % (or by 24.0 billion KZT). At the same time in current prices net international reserves of the National Bank have grown by 4.3 % (or by $757.2 million).
Purchase of currency in internal currency market, increase in the rests at correspondent accounts of the banks of the second level in foreign currency in the National Bank and receipt of currency at the accounts of the government, despite of carrying out of operations on service of external debt of the Ministry of Finance, have led to growth of foreign currency reserves.
As a result, net foreign currency reserves (hard currency) have grown by $702.2 million, the assets in gold have increased by $55.0 million, as a result of the carried out operations and growth of its price in the world markets by 3.2 %.
In real terms net international reserves of the National Bank have grown by 4.1 %, net assets in hard currency - by 4.4 %, assets in gold have increased slightly by 0.3 %.
