Kazakhstan price for wheat increased up to $240 for ton

Almaty. November 21. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan price for wheat has grown up to $240 for ton, at the world stock exchanges the price has increased up to $350, the agency reports referring to the message of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Monday. According to the Agriculture Ministry of Kazakhstan, sharp rise in prices for wheat this year is caused by decrease to 107 million tons of world reserves in the main countries - exporters of grain. "Price increase has a positive impact on the economy of grain industry. Profitability of manufacture, incomes of country facilities and volumes of export grow. At the same time, the rise of prices for grain led to a rise of price of flour and bread. The government has made a decision to purchase grains for stabilization funds and delivery of wheat to the regions where grain is produced in insufficient volumes," the Agriculture Ministry press release informs. According to the Agriculture Ministry of Kazakhstan, the company Food Contract Corporation and Grain Union of Kazakhstan carried out organizational work with the akimats of the Eastern Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Western Kazakhstan, Northern Kazakhstan, Akmola, Zhambyl, and Almaty oblasts. The agreements-memorandums on purchase of wheat at the expense of corporation have been signed. As of November 16, 163 thousand tons of wheat has been purchased for the stabilization funds.
