Gold and exchange currency reserves of Kazakhstan increased by 3.7 %
Almaty. December 6. Kazakhstan Today - International reserves of the country as a whole (in current prices), including money of the National fund (by preliminary data - $20 762.2 million), have grown by 3.7 % and have made $38 882.1 million, the agency reports referring to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Decrease in net internal assets of the National Bank (decrease in requirements of the National Bank to the banks of the second level and other net internal assets) in November has caused compression of monetary base by 0.8 %, or 12.7 billion KZT. At the same time, in current prices net international reserves of the National Bank have grown by 4.0 %, or $690.2 million.
Purchase of currency in the internal currency market, income of currency to the accounts of the government in the National Bank, despite of carrying out of operations on service of external duty of the Ministry of Finance and decrease of the balance on correspondent accounts of the banks of the second level in foreign currency in the National Bank have led to growth of foreign currency reserves.
As a result, net foreign currency reserves (hard currency) have grown by $507.4 million; assets in gold have increased by $182.8 million as a result of the operations and growth of its price in the world markets by 1.5 %. In real terms, net international reserves of the National Bank have grown by 3.7 %, net assets in hard currency - by 3.2 %, assets in gold - by 9.9 %.
