Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan can enter WTO in 2008 - 2009 if it will stand up for its own interests during the negotiating process, a source in the government informed the agency. "We could enter WTO tomorrow if we accepted all the conditions without negotiations. The President set the objective - to enter WTO on conditions as much as possible favorable for the Republic," the source informed. The source specified that among the positions being stood up for by Kazakhstan - "opportunity of subsidizing of agriculture, observance of energy security and regulation of tariff policy."
