5 more special economic zones to be created in Kazakhstan - Industry Ministry
Astana. December 24. Kazakhstan Today - It is necessary to create five more special economic zones in Kazakhstan. The Minister of Industry and Commerce Galym Orazbakov informed during the governmental hour in the Parliament. "It is necessary to continue work on creation of special economic zones," Orazbakov stated. These are special economic zones Dostyk and Horgos - the East gate on the border with China, special economic zone Western gate on the border with Russia, special economic zone Burabay in Akmola oblast and special economic zones Tobol in Kostanay oblast. The Minister noted, "the work on creation of industrial zones is being carried out." Orazbakov reminded, "the governmental decree approving the list of industrial zones, which will be organized in 2008-2010 with participation of the state, has been recently accepted. "The question of creation of the zone Almaty-zhihaz near Almaty, Orken in the Eastern Kazakhstan oblast, the industrial zones in Aktobe, Pavlodar, Kyzylorda, the Southern Kazakhstan oblast has been working over," the Minister informed.
