Kazakhstan GDP per capita to total $7.8 thousand in 2008
Astana. January 17. Kazakhstan Today - GDP per capita in Kazakhstan will be made $7.8 thousand in 2008, vice prime minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeev informed at the session of the political council of Nur Otan Party.
"Following the results of 2007, GDP per capita will reach $7 thousand and by the end of 2008 this parameter will be $7.8 thousand," he said.
According to the government, real income of the population of Kazakhstan grew by 24 % in 2007. Average salary in 2008 will increase up to 55 thousand KZT and average pension will increase by 4.5 thousand KZT.
U. Shukeev reminded since 2008 children's social benefits will grow by 1.5 - 2 times, annual social benifits will be paid to the employees of budgetary organizations. Expenses on public health services will grow by 41.3 %, culture, sports and tourism - by 20.3 %.
"The state reserve of food stocks has been created to prevent import of inflation," U. Shukeev informed.
