New chairman of land resources agency appointed
Astana. January 23. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov presented to the collective of Kazakhstan land resources agency chairman, the agency reports referring to the press service of Kazakhstan government.
According to the press service, Umarzak Uzbekov has been appointed by the governmental decree the chairman of land resources agency, who earlier held the post of Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan.
U. Uzbekov was born on November 10, 1947 in village Bakanas of Almaty oblast. He graduated from the Almaty Zooveterinary Institute. He began his career in the beginning in 1971. Since 1991 he occupied the posts of vice chairman of Almaty regional agro industrial committee and later the assistant chairman of Almaty regional administration.
Since 1994 - the chairman and later akim of Almaty regional administration. Since 1996 - the chairman of Taldykorgan regional administration.
Since 1997 - Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since 2003 and until recently occupied the position of the Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Kyrgyzstan Republic.
