Microsoft, Samgau signed memorandum of mutual understanding

Astana. January 25. Kazakhstan Today - Business meeting between the delegation of National Scientific and Technological Holding Samgau and the chairman of Microsoft Corporation Bill Gates took place in Berlin within the limits of the Worldwide forum of prime ministers of Central, East Europe and CIS countries, during which the parties signed the memorandum of mutual understanding in the spheres of development of information communication services in Kazakhstan, Samgau Holding press service informed on Wednesday. According to the press service, the document was signed by the chairman of the board of Samgau Holding Azamat Abdymomunov and the chairman of Microsoft Corporation Bill Gates. According to the memorandum, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in several priority directions, among which: electronic education, including creation of innovative-educational consortium; information security; development of the Kazakhstan segment of the Internet; e-government; electronic medicine; electronic commerce and electronic state purchases for the government, etc. As it was informed earlier, the 4th World forum of prime ministers of Central, East Europe and CIS countries began its work on Tuesday in Berlin. The theme of the forum is the issues of effective governing at various levels and importance of information-communication technologies for national education systems.
