Inflation to reach 7.3 - 8.3 % in 2007
Almaty. February 9. Kazakhstan Today - In 2007 inflation in Kazakhstan will reach 7.3 - 8.3 %. The Chairman of the National Bank Anvar Saydenov made a forecast at the press conference devoted to preliminary results of 2006 and the situation in the financial market in January 2007, the agency reports.
"According to the preliminary estimations, the second forecast is more realistic, which states that inflation will fluctuate within 7.3 % up to 8.3 %," A. Saydenov said.
As it was informed earlier, in Kazakhstan in 2006 annual inflation (December 2006-December 2005) made 8.4 % (in 2005 - 7.5 %). In January - December of 2006 in relation to January - December, 2005 inflation of the prices of all goods and services reached 8.6 %.
In January 2007 inflation in the Republic totaled 1.1 %.
