Kazakhstan to become shareholder of Ekibastuz state district power station-1
Astana. February 7. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov during the session of the board of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources instructed to hold negotiations for purchase by the state of the shares of Ekibastuz state district power station-1, the agency reports.
"Yesterday Kazakhmys Company informed of the purchase of Ekibastuz state distrcit power station from the American company Ekibastuz state district power station-1. Samruk - Energy Company should hold negotiations with Kazakhmys Company and the state, on your behalf, should be the shareholder," the Prime Minister said addressing the chairman of the board of Samruk-Energy Company Yerlan Upushev.
As it was informed earlier, on February, 5 the group Kazakhmys Plc informed of attraction of the pre-export financial credit for $2.1 billion to be used in general corporate objectives, including for the purpose of purchase of Ekibastuz state district power station.
