Commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and France for the last year made $4.68 billion - Orazbakov
Astana. February 8. Kazakhstan Today - Commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and France for the last year made $4.68 billion. The Minister of Industry and Commerce Galym Orazbakov informed today during business-forum with participation of the French and Kazakhstan business circles, the agency reports.
According to customs statistics, commodity turnover of the Republic of Kazakhstan with France for 2007 made $4.68 billion.
"52 Kazakhstan-French joint ventures, basically in the areas of providing services in oil and gas extraction, construction of buildings, trade of automobiles and the equipment, tourism, architecture, engineering and technical activity have been registered in Kazakhstan," Orazbakov said.
France is the fifth country by volume of foreign investments into Kazakhstan. According to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, total amount of French investments in Kazakhstan economy since 1994 till September 2007 reached $3.7 billion.
Kazakhstan capital investments in the French economy since 2004 till September 2007 made $262.2 million.
