Astana. February 11. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev visited city municipal enterprise Astana-General Plan where the presentation of new building projects took place, the agency reports. The participants of the meeting discussed eleven projects. Among them are civil-engineering designs of Defense University, National University of Astana, and summer cottages area of settlement Koyandy for 4 thousand sites, housing district BI-village and civil-engineering design of the multipurpose administrative-business and exhibition center Belarus developed by the order of Belarus Petrogas Company. N. Nazarbayev familiarized with the course of construction of the monument Kazak eli at the height of 91 meters that symbolizes 1991 when the Republic Kazakhstan gained its independence. The project of creation of one of the largest city parks of Kazakhstan of the area of 230 hectares has been presented. Construction of the park along the river Esil began last year, and, according to the plans, it will be completed in the end of 2009. The President took part in the opening ceremony of the largest by its territory in the capital shopping center Saryarka. Total area of the complex is 42 thousand square meters. Volume of investments into construction of the center has exceeded $60 million.
