Yerzhan Kazykhanov appointed assistant to President of Kazakhstan
Astana. February 12. Kazakhstan Today - Yerzhan Kazyhanov has been appointed the assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the decree of the leader of the state, the agency reports referring to the president's press service on Monday.
Y. Kazyhanov was born in 1964 in Almaty. He graduated from the Leningrad State University, speciality - historian-orientalist. On 1995 - 2000 he was the adviser of the Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the United Nations, the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Cuba in combination. On February, 2000 - Director of Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the Secretary General of Kazakhstan National Commission for UNESCO. Since February, 2007 - Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs.
