President supports optimization of customs procedures to increase transit potential of the country

Astana. February 15. Kazakhstan Today - It is necessary to optimize the system of customs registration of cargoes to increase transit potential of the country, the leader of the state Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the expanded government session on Thursday, the agency reports. The President of the state specified imperfection of the system of customs registration of cargoes in Kazakhstan. "Long terms of customs registration of the goods and staying of goods idle at the border damage the national economy," he noted. Such situation, in his opinion, hinders development of transit potential of the country. "Now we are doing everything possible to make Kazakhstan a transit state. If we do not create the conditions for transit of cargoes and passengers, nobody will travel through the territory of Kazakhstan," he emphasized.
