Prime Minister presented new chairman to collective of Samgau holding
Astana. February 26. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov presented the new chairman of the board Serik Burkitbayev to the collective of the National scientific-technological holding Samgau, the agency reports referring to the government's press service.
"Serik Burkitbayev replaced on this post Azamat Abdymomunov," the press release of the government widespread on Tuesday states.
S. Burkitbayev was born on September 7, 1957. He is Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. In 1980 he graduated from the Moscow Engineering-Physical Institute, Engineer Physic.
On January 10, 2007 prior to appointment to the post of the chairman of the board of the National scientific-technological holding Samgau he was the assistant to the President of Kazakhstan and in 2000 - 2002 - the adviser of the President of Kazakhstan. In recent years he worked as Director of the Kazakhstan Institute of Oil and Gas.
In 1998 - 2000 S. Burkitbaev held the post of the Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan. In 1993 - 1998 he was the chairman of Almaty engineering center on laser technology, the Kazakhstan radio engineering factory, the chairman of Kazinformtelecom Company, Kazakhstan Telecommunications Company, and Kazakhtelecom Company.
In 1984 - 1993 he worked in the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan.
