Brussels to host Kazakhstan - EU cooperation council session
Astana. February 12. Kazakhstan Today - The 9th session of the cooperation council the Republic Kazakhstan - the EU will take place on February 12 in Brussels, the Kazakh MFA official representative Yerzhan Ashikbayev informed today at the traditional briefing in Astana.
The Kazakh official delegation headed by the Minister of Agriculture Akhmetzhan Yesimov, a co-chairman of the council from the Kazakhstan party will take part in the session. The EU delegation will head the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Hernot Erler.
"The session agenda includes the questions of mutual relations, political reforms, human rights, regional cooperation, justice and internal affairs, struggle against terrorism, economic reforms, power, transport, trade and investments, rendering technical and other assistance," he said.
During the session the parties will focus on practical realization of the results of December visit of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Brussels, the EU strategy for the Central Asia, and practical realization of the Baku initiative of the European Union and the arrangements reached during the 2nd Ministerial conference on energy of the countries of the Black and the Caspian seas in November, 2006.
