Zhigermunaiservice: Rebiality and Quality!
With its vast energy resources, the Caspian region is becoming one of the most important centres of the international oil industry. Today, major international oil and gas companies are developing the Caspian off Kazakhstan. The need for services arose in the early stages of this vast development project and has led to the establishment of the Zhigermunaiservice LLP.
Our company was established on the basis of the reorganised Embamunaigaz, a central production service base, which was a part of the former USSR Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry. At present, Zhigermunaiservice is a private enterprise operating in big business. Our company specializes in manufacturing and repairing drilling, oil field and non-standard equipment, tools and spare parts.
Zhigermunaiservice is constantly improving its production indices: today, the annual volume of the company's operations comes to $13m, including $2.23m in capital construction projects and oilfield facilities construction. In addition, the company produces about 420 tonnes of metalwork per year. Among the major achievements of the company have been supplying drilling equipment for the Tengiz and Korolevskoye fields and constructing the 100 km long Zaburunye-Martyshi oil pipeline (diameter of 273 mm) for Embamunaygaz.
Zhigermunaiservis operates under the following licences issued by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan: Manufacture, Assembly and Repair of Oil Field, Drilling Equipment and Tools (0000060) and Operation, Repair and Maintenance of Boilers, Vessels and Pipelines under Pressure (0000061). In addition, on 29th March 2001, the Committee for Construction at the Economy and Trade Ministry of Kazakhstan issued state construction license GSL01 #003796 to the company to carry out construction and special construction and assembly operations in the sphere of architecture and construction (including laying main oil and gas pipeline networks).
Zhigermunaiservice has impressive production potential, including cutting, forging and welding equipment, its own oxygen producing plant and vacant covered sites available for expansion of its business. Smooth operating processes, modern equipment and qualified personnel allow the following activities to be carried out:
· flaw detection in drilling and oil field equipment, tools and welds; X-rays and vacuum using non-destructive inspection techniques;
· manufacture of D type tubing strings to the GOST 633-80 standard;
· manual electric arc welding;
· testing of drilling blowout equipment, Christmas trees;
· production of sharply incurved pipe bends of various diameters;
· mechanical rupture, compression, bending and flattening tests of metals and materials.
By paying close attention to quality assurance, the company is working hard to certify its products and services. In 2004, Zhigermunaiservice introduced ISO 9001-2001.
An undeniable strength of our company is the availability of our own dead-end track, equipped with a gantry and located 1 km away from the Atyrau railway station, in the proximity of the Atyrau river port. The company’s production sites are close to major roads such as Atyrau-Astrakhan, Atyrau-Uralsk-Samara, and Atyrau-Aktobe.
Although it is the general contractor for Embamunaygaz, a company forming part of the KazMunayGaz Exploration and Production enterprise, Zhigermunaiservice is interested in expanding its services and is open to co-operation with international and local companies and organizations operating in the Caspian.
