Since 2010 the state program of accelerated industrial innovative development has become the major document, defining the economic policy of Kazakhstan for the next five years. It aims to neutralize the problems of previous similar initiatives and ensure a systematic base for accelerated modernization and diversification of economy. With its adoption the domestic industrial innovation system, which has been more or less formed over the past few years and was mainly regulated by various government programs and regulations, has received its final consolidation on the legislative level. Legally defining measures of state support for industrial innovation of subsoil users, the government of Kazakhstan obliged them to fund scientific researches and introduce advanced technical solutions in Kazakhstan. However, the growth potential of this mode of transport is limited due to the existing infrastructure which also requires drastic upgrade.
