Kazakhstan Today - Group of companies of Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC) declared of creation of corporate welfare fund ЕNRC Komek, which this year will allocate for realization of social projects in Kazakhstan more than 3.039 billion KZT ($25.3 million), the agency reports referring to ENRC press service. According to the press release of the company, ENRC Komek is a noncommercial charitable organization, the activity of which will be directed at financing of educational, cultural-educational, research and other public events. The fund consists of general constituent assembly (which includes all companies ENRC), Board of Trustees, the executive body headed by Director of the Fund, and Auditors Committee. Maran Omarov has been appointed Fund Director. Sigrid Helga Sittard has been appointed the chairman of Trusteeship Council. "ENRC Plc Fund signed memorandums of mutually advantageous cooperation, the first project, with the regional akimat of Aktobe, Kostanay, Pavlodar and Karaganda oblasts," the press service informed. According to ЕNRC, the most part of allocated resources will be directed at housing construction in Karaganda oblast. In Aktobe oblast, the most part of the sum will be spent for charity, in particular, aid to Algin children's home, needy families, completion of construction of mosques and churches in the cities of Hromtau and Aktobe. In Kostanay, monetary help will be directed at development of popular in the region sports - ice hockey, construction of 36-room apartment house for young experts and oralmans (the ethnic Kazakhs who have come back home). In Pavlodar oblast, the allocated resources will be spent on construction of a kindergarten for 320 places, development of sports, construction and purchase of social housing in Ekibastuz and Aksu, ENRC press service informed.
